We will also be talking about an exciting new partnership we have made with two premium roofing companies, Worthouse and Tilcor Roofing Systems! Both of these companies are masters in their respective crafts, so this is a huge step for us here at SouthShore Roofing & Exteriors because we will now be able to provide our clients with the absolute best on the market of every material we have to offer!
Different Common Styles Roofing
You may be familiar with the three most common types of roofing materials which are asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and clay/cement tile roofing. However, did you know that they were different styles to each of those? In this section, we will be discussing the most common variations within each roofing material category.
Asphalt Shingles
For asphalt shingles, there are two main types. The first and most common type of asphalt shingle is called the three-tab shingle. Three-tab shingle, as the name implies consists of three separate tabs within each shingle. This is the least expensive and the least durable out of the two shingle types. Although it still offers great protection from rain it does not have a very aesthetic appeal and is not as durable as its counterpart. This brings us to dimensional shingles otherwise known as architectural shingles. Architectural shingles are much thicker than traditional three-tab shingles. Although this adds some weight to the material it also increases the durability of the shingles significantly which makes it well worth the slight increase in price when compared to the three-tab shingle. Architectural shingles also provide a layered more textured look to your roof which makes them much more desirable for homeowners who care about the exterior aesthetic of their home.
Metal Roofing
Metal roofing also has two main variances: corrugated and standing seam roofing. Corrugated simply means any material or object that has a surface shaped into alternate ridges and grooves. This means that your roof will have a wave effect; there will be seams running down the entire length of your roof to your gutter. Some people desire this look as they think it is more aesthetically pleasing and than standing seam roofing however that is entirely up to the homeowner. Standing seam roofing however does not have these grooves. This is more desirable for most people as it gives the entire roof a more streamlined appearance. A standing seam roof also tends to perform better than a corrugated metal roof as all of the rivet holes for the screws are fastened underneath a shingle meaning there are no exposed entrances increasing water resistance.
Clay/Cement Tile Roofing
There are two main variances in clay roof tiles one of which profiles clay tile roofing. Profile tile roofing consists of interlocking clay tiles in a wide variety of colors and finishes. This design gives your home a much more unique look and will help it stand out from all the others. Flat tile roofing is the other option. With flat tile roofing, your roof will take on a crisp, clean appearance that is becoming more and more popular amongst architects and homebuyers alike.
Premium Roofing Systems We Offer To Homeowners
Premium Roofs is a company that has been around for many years. We know the industry, and we know how to get the job done. Our team of professionals has been trained to provide you with the best quality service possible. Our partnership with these roofing manufacturers allows us to bring the best options to you.
Worthouse Metal Roofing
Here at SouthShore Roofing & Exteriors, we have partnered with the best metal roofing supplier we could find. We chose to go with Worthouse because of their excellent craftsmanship when it comes to the wind and weather resistance of their metal roofing. Having a roof that can withstand the Highwinds and tropical storms we all too often get in the Tampa, Florida region is crucial to ensuring that your roof will last you a lifetime. Worthouse has created a steel roofing system that is unparalleled to anyone else’s on the market when it comes to effectiveness in the Tampa, Florida climate. Their metal roofing products have been tested and were able to resist wind speeds exceeding 200 mph which is more than enough for the average tropical storm we see here in the coastal Florida regions.
All of their roofing products come with a limited lifetime warranty as well so you can be sure that your roof is coming from a quality manufacturer. Worthouse offers many different types of roofing styles, though their two most popular are called Ulta and Supre. They both perform similarly function-wise, however, have quite different designs. Supre metal roofing tiles have a more curved and flowing design to them, while Ulta metal roofing tiles have a much sharper, defined, and streamlined look. Both options come in a variety of unique colors including but not limited to raven black, sierra brown, and canyon red. No matter what you have envisioned in your mind, Worthouse is sure to have the metal roofing material to suit your needs!
Tilcor Roofing
The other premium roofing manufacturer we have partnered with is Tilcor Roofing Supplies. Tilcor Roofing Supplies offers three different roofing shingles: Antica, Craftsman Shake, and CF Shake/Shingles. Tilcor Roofing Systems is a leader in the shake and shingle industry. Antica Shingles are designed to have strong flowing curves comparable to that of Spanish tile while combining the strength and durability of stone-coated steel. The shingles allow you to have the look of Spanish tile without having to deal with the weight and cost that you would normally have when buying clay tiles. Antica also comes in a range of colors so that you will never have to settle on a color you are not in love with.
Craftsman shake features the wood grain appearance of a traditional shake roof. Its deep ribbed profile was designed to enhance the shadows and create visual contrast. Although aesthetically similar to traditional wood shake shingles, Craftsman shake shingles differ by offering exceptional weather and fire resistance along with a much longer life expectancy. Finally, there are the CF Shingles and CF Shake. Both resemble either asphalt shingles or wooden shakes respectively and were specially created for the North American market. They offer a myriad of different color combinations along with the world’s first fully concealed fastening system meaning that the screws are completely hidden from sight and elements deliver the ultimate combination of premium aesthetic quality and weather resistance.
